Feminine Cosmetic Genital Surgery (Vaginoplasty)
The number of women seeking genital cosmetic surgery (GCS) is increasing. Moreover, in large part, this is due to better body confidence and procedures such as vagina tightening and vaginoplasty becoming just as accepted in Berlin and elsewhere as any other type of female cosmetic surgery. The only question is, what are the different procedures available and what should you know before electing for a procedure such as vagina tightening?
Often confused with vaginoplasty, labiaplasty refers to the cosmetic reduction of the size of the external labia minora and/or vulva. Typically performed to achieve more visually attractive genitalia, labiaplasty can also provide functional improvements to the genital area. Issues, for example, with previous stretching and tearing during childbirth can be easily remedied with a labiaplasty. In like regard, discomfort during intercourse can be remedied along with issues caused by enlarged labia minora experiencing friction during walking and/or exercise.
Commonly known as the vaginoplasty, vaginal rejuvenation is one of the most popular surgery options available to women who are not happy with the basic tightness of their vagina. Weight fluctuations, childbirth, hereditary problems, and strenuous activity can all work to weaken the strength of the vaginal wall muscles. A vaginoplasty, in this case, will seek to strengthen the vaginal canal and opening. Patients should be aware, however, that a vaginoplasty does not seek to alter the cosmetic appearance of the vagina externally. Should women be seeking to improve the appearance of the inner or outer labia, they are encouraged instead to inquire directly in regard to an alternative or complementary labiaplasty procedure.
Labia majora augmentation
This procedure seeks to plump up the outer lips of the vagina by injecting them with fatty tissue taken from another part of the body.
This procedure involves the use of liposuction to remove fat deposits from the mons pubis (the pad of fatty tissue covered by pubic hair). This results in the mons pubis being less prominent.

Another female cosmetic surgery which is often confused with vagina tightening concerns G-spot augmentation. However, unlike a vaginoplasty which seeks to enhance sexual pleasure and function by tightening the vagina, G-spot augmentation instead involves injecting a substance such as collagen into the G-spot in order to enhance its size and, therefore, theoretically also a woman’s sexual pleasure. The effects of this procedure usually last for 3-4 months on average, after which the procedure will need to be repeated.
Clitoral hood reduction
This procedure involves reducing the hood of skin which surrounds the clitoris, exposing the glans (or head) of the clitoris that lies underneath. A clitoral hood reduction is aimed at providing more stimulation, therefore, heightening a woman’s sexual pleasure and is also known as hoodectomy.
